Sam Sheard is a furniture and jewellery designer maker currently studying for an MA in Design at Central Saint Martins. Most of Sam's designs come about from a curiosity in an objects ability to provoke and contain meaning, and show how a designer can use such a medium as a communication device – with the intention of giving things a bit of personality. "I Can’t Remember My Grandma’s Name", came about whilst Sam was studying for his BA when working on a self directed project. This looked into re-contextualise some inheritance he received, one of the outcomes of this project are the pieces in this range which hope to give a new lease of life to old objects.
